National Music Council LEA Awards for 2001










A happy time was had by all at the Royal Society of Arts in London on 27 November 2001 when a record number (nine) of LEA Music Services were rewarded for their outstanding achievements in and commitment to music education.

Before a distinguished gathering of Music Industry and Music Education representatives Imogen Wilde, the Education Department's Director of Curriculum and Communications presented the National Music Council's Awards for 2001 to the following LEA Music Services:

Brighton & Hove, winning the Major Trophy and Diplomas of Merit going to Barking & Dagenham Camden Dudley Gwynedd and Ynys Mon, jointly Hampshire Milton Keynes Southampton Surrey
Flautists

Drummers
